Earn money online on WebAnswers through Google Adsense

I know that there are many ways to earn money online and many articles about the various revenue sharing and revenue earning sites. I will like to share one such website with you - WebAnswers.

I am a housewife and in January 2010 I decided to experiment with ways to earn money online. Last year July 2009 I joined Helium and started writing articles online for the first time. I wrote about thirteen articles to date and I've earned about US$13.00. Not good at all. Keep in mind this has to do with the time and energy I put into the site as well. It works on a rating system. It is a good site to learn lots of new things as well. Anyways so whilst doing my recent research on how to earn money online I stumbled upon WebAnswers.

So what is WebAnswers?

WebAnswers is a question and answer website, just like the name suggests, that is free to join and it is pretty much self explanatory - you can ask questions and you can answer questions. 

After creating your free WebAnswers account you can jump right in and start answering questions from other users on a myriad of topics such as hobbies, relationships, entertainment and travel, just to name a few of my favorite categories. Here's a look at the broad categories (see to the right). These categories are further broken down into many sub-categories or sections but you will have to visit the site for more information. Trust me - there's a category for just about anybody. So rest assured - you'll find something there that is of interest to you and you can feel comfortable answering all about. Sharing knowledge - it's a great thing! I do not want this hub to be marked as 'overly promotional'. My aim is to tell you about a great revenue sharing site that I use. 

How to earn money on WebAnswers?

Putting it simply, the more questions you answer - the more chances you have of making money through Google's Adsense contextual advertising program to generate revenue. I am not going to go into detail on signing up for Google Adsense. You earn the same way you earn on Hubpages by being paid when someone clicks on the Google Ads.

WebAnswers has a system where the person asking the question 'awards' the best answer to the response he/she thinks answer the question best. The person receiving the 'awarded answer' gains all the revenue for the ads on that page for that question. You get 60% and WebAnswers gets 40%. You can see one of my awarded answers here.

What is great about the WebAnswers site is that you not only earn revenue from 'award answers' but users on the site noted that they gain most of their revenue from unawarded answers (that is questions where not one individual person is awarded a best answer). This works because WebAnswers has a system where the responses to a question are rated based on a quality score (that us users are not privy to) so I cannot give details. What I can say is that this aims to drive users to provide quality answers. So if you try your best to consistently respond with well explained answers you will do great on the site. Off course - NO copy and pasting of other people's work is allowed. That's obvious - copyright laws.

These are just some of the Advantages of Webanswers according to me!

1) Firstly, you get to earn money through GoogleAdsense. I also blog and write for hubpages and webanswers is the best for bringing in a little revenue. There are lots of users on webanswers and a greater chance of getting clicks.

2) You challenge yourself to learn something new. I've answered questions here from various categories and I've learnt some things along the way. So it's a great site for learning little tidbits of information from a variety of topics.

3) You meet new people and make friends. For the regular/daily users on webanswers its a great way to meet new people online and become online friends.

4) Webanswers is fun! That is an advantage! I have fun here answering questions and I even ask a few myself.

5) If you have a question and you post it on webanswers you benefit from getting varied responses with different perspectives from the webanswers users. I find it very interesting to get responses with different views and for the more personal questions the advice here is pretty good! So please, join webanswers - it's free, you make money and you'd have a lot of fun!

You will see different user levels on the site. It's referred to as expert levels and its based on the number of postings you make. There is beginner (10), contributor (75), authority (180), expert (660), professor (1000) and brain (2000+). I recently got to the professor level and was really excited. Please keep in mind these are just names that the site uses. A person having a professor or expert level etc does not mean that person is the most intelligence person out there or knows everything etc.

Whilst using WebAnswers I kept reading about people blogging and using their blogs to promote their awarded answers so I decided to sign up for my own blog and realized I had a blog since 2008 but with zero postings. So I got right down to it and started blogging Leandraluv... Life's Moments about my life in Brazil and just everyday moments. It was meant for me to promote my awarded answers but I don't really do this and to be honest I have not made much money from my blog with Google Adsense program but I fell in love with blogging and I try to do it regularly. Also whilst on WebAnswers I found out about Hubpages! Someone asked a question about earning money online and one of the responses had about writing on hubpages and I decided to check out the site and here I am! Loving this as well!

With Webanswers, I've noticed that after answering about 800 questions I started getting a bit more revenue. It's just a couple of dollars a day so far but it's getting better and I have fun on webanswers so I am happy with it. So I would recommend that whilst watching television or if you find that you have a little time to kill, join webanswers and start helping people out there.
